Everyone experiences loss in their own way, yet no one should have to grieve alone. Bereavement support can be helpful in the process of recovering from the death of a loved one. Bereavement groups provide a safe environment for sharing sorrow and connecting with others who have had similar experiences with grief and loss.
Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care provides bereavement support as part of our mission to serve those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Bereavement services are available for surviving family members and friends, as well as any other community members, and are free of charge. Our Bereavement Team also offers community education programs and in-service training programs for professionals on the topics of grief and loss.
Services include:
- One on one support
- Support groups
- Programs for adults, teens and children
- Remembrance services
- Journaling/writing bereavement groups
- Sudden loss intervention
- Educational programs
Specialized bereavement support groups are offered on a rotating basis throughout the year. For information on upcoming bereavement groups or other events, please visit our Groups & Events page.
