Part of the Berkshire Healthcare family
Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, formerly Hospice of Franklin County, is proud to be part of Berkshire Healthcare, a leader among non-profit, post-acute care providers in Massachusetts committed to fulfilling the health and residential needs in the communities served. The Berkshire Healthcare network allows us to provide comprehensive hospice care, both at home and in our own skilled nursing facilities.
Caring for friends, family and neighbors
Locally run and staffed by caring and attentive professionals and volunteers, Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care has been serving western Massachusetts for more than a decade. Many of our team members were part of the very first local hospice work which began more than 30 years ago. From these grassroots beginnings, Pioneer Valley Hospice has developed strong relationships with local community members and agencies, enabling responsive, well-informed, compassionate end of life care.
We are committed to the core principles of hospice: to compassionately care for patients at end-of-life by managing and treating their pain and suffering, supporting them by addressing their physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and bereavement needs as well as those of their families. We are dedicated to giving the very best care we have to offer to people wherever they are living – at home, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or in the hospital.
Programs include traditional hospice services, extended bereavement services, adult palliative consultation services, and a pediatric palliative care program.
